Full bio

David “Trey” Parker III, MD is a fellowship-trained interventional pain physician and Director of Interventional Pain Medicine at True Precision Medical, serving patients throughout the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. His goal is simple: to help patients get back to the lives they love. Dr. Parker understands that pain rarely exists in isolation. It affects how people sleep, how they move, their mood, and often the things they have quietly stopped doing — a morning hike, a round of golf, or time with the grandkids. His residency in full-spectrum family medicine taught him to look beyond a single symptom and understand the whole person. His fellowship in interventional pain medicine at UT Health San Antonio gave him advanced tools to identify and treat the source of the pain itself. His practice includes spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, sacroiliac joint fusion, basivertebral nerve ablation, minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD), and radiofrequency ablation for pain involving the spine and joints throughout the body. Before completing his clinical training, Dr. Parker held a NIDA-funded postdoctoral research fellowship at the UTMB Center for Addiction Research, where he studied opioid prescribing practices. That experience shaped his approach to pain medicine: thoughtful, evidence-based care focused on restoring function while using medications responsibly and pursuing alternatives wherever appropriate. At True Precision Medical, his approach centres on an accurate diagnosis, targeted treatment, and a plan built around each patient’s own goals. Dr. Parker loves living in the desert. You will find him hiking the trails when the weather cooperates, and on the golf course whether it does or not. Staying active is an important part of his own life, which is what makes helping patients return to the activities and people they love the most rewarding part of his work.
