Conditions We Treat
  • Uterine fibroids
  • Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding
  • Pelvic pressure and pain
  • Frequent urination from fibroid bulk
  • Anemia from fibroid-related blood loss
Overview

Uterine fibroids are the leading cause of hysterectomy in the United States — but surgery is rarely your only option. Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) shrinks fibroids by cutting off their blood supply, resolving symptoms without removing the uterus.

Covered by most major insurance. Outpatient. Home the same day.

Our Approach
01

Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)

A catheter-based procedure that delivers tiny particles to the uterine arteries feeding your fibroids — cutting off their blood supply. Fibroids shrink over months, relieving symptoms without surgery or organ removal.

02

Pre-Procedure Imaging Review

A detailed MRI or ultrasound review confirms fibroid size, location, and number — ensuring UFE is appropriate and planning the optimal approach for your anatomy.

What to Expect

Before

A consultation with imaging review to confirm you are a good candidate for UFE and discuss what to expect during and after the procedure.

During

UFE is performed under light sedation through a small catheter, typically taking 45–90 minutes in our outpatient suite.

After

Most patients go home the same day. Cramping and fatigue are common for the first few days. Symptom improvement typically occurs within 1–3 months as fibroids shrink.
